If you are being mistaken for a Korean while shopping in China, do not feel honoured too quickly because it does not mean that the shopkeepers think you're as good looking as the Korean stars on TV. Actually, it just means:

1. Your spoken Chinese sucks
2. Your eyes are really small
3. You have the 'come and 砍我 tourist face'

Just something random I've observed along the way of my exchange :)
